How the program works-Nashville photography mentoring
Where to Start
We begin by scheduling a phone call, video chat, or email exchange—whichever you prefer—to assess your current knowledge, experience level, and goals. From there, we’ll create a plan that makes the best use of our time together.
All lessons are conducted one-on-one rather than in a group workshop setting. You are welcome to bring another person if you’d like, provided they remain respectful of the learning process and do not interfere with instruction.
What Happens on Lesson Day?
Plan for approximately four hours of lesson time. We’ll meet locally in the Nashville area for a personalized mix of instruction, discussion, shooting, image review, and business development topics based on your goals.
During our time together, I’ll provide honest feedback, identify areas for improvement, and help you develop a clear path forward. Whether your focus is photography, workflow, branding, pricing, products, or business strategy, each session is tailored to your individual needs.
After your first session, you can decide whether you’d like a single lesson or continue with an ongoing education plan.

About Me
I am a Nashville, Tennessee-based professional photographer and published author specializing in documentary and lifestyle photography, headshots, and fine art imagery.
Over the years, I’ve built a photography business, published books, sold prints, worked with clients, and learned valuable lessons through both successes and mistakes. My goal is to help others elevate their craft and build a more intentional approach to photography and business.
My philosophy is simple: experience more by carrying less. I believe in keeping photography enjoyable, mastering a single focal length, traveling light, and staying prepared when it matters most. Being intentional in the field—as well as on the business side—has helped me build a sustainable and rewarding photography career over the years.
