Ben & Leah- Belle Meade Winery proposal

Some moments are so full of surprise and joy that you can feel the energy buzzing in the air — and this was one of them.

Ben and Leah are law students living out of state, but during a recent trip back to Nashville, Leah thought she was simply enjoying a wine tasting with her family at Belle Meade Winery. What she didn’t know was that Ben had planned something unforgettable.

As the tasting wrapped up, Leah’s family led her out into the garden, where Ben was waiting. In the Tennessee summer heat (yes, it was hot as can be), the atmosphere shifted instantly — from casual family outing to one of the most life-changing moments of Leah’s life.

The element of surprise was perfect. The look on Leah’s face when she saw Ben, the joy of her family surrounding them, and the flood of emotion as he asked her to marry him — it was overwhelming in the very best way.

Proposals are about more than just the question; they’re about creating a memory that lives on every time you tell the story. On this day, at Belle Meade Winery, Ben and Leah started the next chapter of theirs.

Now for the buzzkill— Belle Meade Winery is a private venue. They were kind enough to work with Ben when he reserved the tour and tasting, to grant me a permit. Photographers, please do this the right way and respect property rights of private venues.
