It’s been a kick ass wedding photography season, and what a way to wind down the 2018 wedding season! I met Amy and John earlier in the year, and they were very clear on their objectives for their wedding day. They wanted to enjoy and be present for their wedding day, and make it an adult wedding so they could celebrate with friends and family. It only made sense to hire a documentarian to organically photograph those real moments of human interaction at their early December Vanderbilt Marriott wedding.
The final few moments after bridal prep before the ceremony. They were discussing John and the groomsmen being downstairs at the bar getting the party started. Sure enough!!
Amy says two can play that game. The couple has been together 6 years, and decided to bring it to the next level, and they did indeed! It was quite an energetic celebration, led by planner Carlie Moore.
John eagerly watches his bride make her entrance.
It was a heartfelt, emotional ceremony with their friend officiating, for that personal touch.
Amy enjoying a sweet moment with her dad 🙂
Cocktail hour begins, and business picks up.
The VIP’s make their entrance!
The couple met through their mutual interest in running, and through mutual friends, so it was all an organic, serendipitous experience. They love outdoor activities like hiking and camping, traveling, and of course enjoying cocktails with friends. After a delicious in-house catered dinner, the reception was officially under way.
Precise Entertainment cranked out the tunes, what an energetic reception! The bar staff earned their keep throughout the night as well. 🙂
Pay special attention to the next few photos, lol.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos and narrative from this energetic and entertaining Vanderbilt Marriott wedding with Amy and John, by Nashville documentary wedding photographer, Jay Farrell.
