I had the pleasure of doing engagement photos for Tiffany and Mikey over the Summer, while they visited Nashville for wedding related business. On a lovely but brisk November day, I joined them once again to document their Festive Fall wedding day at Terian Farms. It always feels like coming home seeing Teri, the horses, and Ruby the cat.
I always like to show the weather in my photos rather than make it look like something different. This gives you an idea. It’s fun to document surroundings and banter between wedding guests as I await the ceremony.
As everyone paid their reverence, Tiffany made her way to Mikey. In the end, that was her goal, and to enjoy time with her friends and family.
Tunnel vision on the couple only would only sacrifice moments like this with onlooking guests, a nice part of the story.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. King! You did the thing! And I’m an accidental poet. You’re welcome.
Some charismatic entrances to the reception area!!
The couple enjoys their first dance.
I love the emotion in these parent dances, makes a documentary photographer feel their own pulse.
Business was picking up at the bar, this crowd would not disappoint. They brought the energy to the venue and dance floor.
The speeches encouraged a lot of laughs and blushing, was a fun period of the event to capture. Followed by a delicious catered dinner by Sammy B’s.
As you can see, I love the sinister combination of light and shadow, mixed with motion and energy.
Photobooth props made a photogenic group of true partygoers. DJ Todd cranked out the tunes and kept feet moving and bodies shaking. Heat lamps kept the venue warm and body heat generated made for a great series of wedding reception photos.
Shoot for the weather, if this gives a clue.
The day retired to the night, and the last call and last song was cranking. What a great celebration and party it was, and no one went home early. That’s how you know an event is a success.
It was 26 degrees F outside, but somehow these sparkler sendoff photos were in focus, lol. I hope you enjoyed this sweet Festive Fall wedding at Terian Farms. Congratulations Mikey and Tiffany!
