I’m pleased to feature this Beautiful Backyard Nashville wedding. I was very happy Randi and Nick found me just a couple short months ago, for their May 31 wedding at their friend’s Whites Creek elegant country estate! That’s one thing I love about Nashville, you can be in the city or on the interstate and minutes later be on a country road, and see houses far from the road nestled in the green rolling hills of Tennessee. Randi is a legal professional, and Nick works in physical therapy….. and he is a U.S. Marine, so both are busy professionals. (with that being said, it’s a damn good thing they were happy with the photos, LOL.) They wanted a beautiful elegant wedding that was family friendly, they had access to this beautiful house and property for their wedding, so why not use it!! 🙂 With all the exhaustive planning and getting decorations, dinnerware, catering, guest list, and all other planning in order….they had to still secure the right Nashville wedding photographer!!
Thankfully they found me! Randi had emailed me first and explained that they wanted a wedding photographer with a fun journalistic style, that could keep up with the flow of the day and complete the needed photography to fit their event timeline…as well as have the energy level to keep guest participation up. All part of being a wedding photographer….the skill, being adaptable, organized and efficient, and making it about the people and the love. We all met up and knew we were a great fit…so it began, my assistant and I rolled up and began scouting the location and capturing details.
And now a chance to photograph the food and the wedding cake while waiting on both the groom and bridal party to get ready for fun photos before the ceremony….this way I am sure to capture the beauty of the edibles before guests tear into it 🙂 The beautiful red velvet wedding cake was made by Patty Cakes in Gallatin, TN.
Now the guys are getting ready…I went next door and asked the neighbor if we could use the barn as a canvas for portraits that was on his property…he gladly granted permission and told me that barn was built in 1949 and it was second generation in the family.
A few of Nick and his siblings, it’s awesome how they feed off one another energy wise!
And Nick with his mom! She had told us later how she was delighted to see him to happy! One of the coolest things we’ve had anyone tell us at a wedding!
The bridal party wasn’t ready in time to do portraits until after the ceremony…gotta go with the flow…the wedding ceremony would soon begin, time to set up post!
Anyone recognize that officiant? He’s none other than Judge Gale Robinson Jr. ! I hope the only time I see him is at another wedding, LOL. Now time for bride and groom photos!! I shot the first one through the tulle fabric. I love how they are so genuinely happy and well connected, the photos don’t lie 🙂
Now time for the reception and some portraits with the bride and her siblings and family!!
Now to finish up with some dancing and of the party under the beautiful picnic shelter and dance floor area! Party compliments of Jason with DJ Budget Cuts . Please keep him in mind for your DJ needs in Nashville! I hope you’ve enjoyed the highlights from Nick and Randi’s wedding, and congratulations to both of them!!
